I moved house in September last year, rather urgently when it came down to it. (Disagreeable neighbours. To the point of taking out an AVO. What can I say; white trash who are the pond scum on the bottom of the gene pool.)

Anyway. Best. Move. Ever.

Now I am living 6km out of town with gumtrees and hoppers and parrots and sky =) It r0cks.

And last weekend, the camera and I had the pleasure of a visit from a (vastly more welcome - and more intelligent) neighbour:

Lookit him go! He's, y'know ... walking.

Wow. Echidnas are pretty but they're not exactly action-oriented, are they?

I know.! Usually all they do is bunker down in the dirt and not move at all. So you can appreciate my excitement at the walking.!

Also: it had been snuffling at an ant mound, and then when it walked close to me, I saw it had a couple of ants still crawling on its face. Teh cute!

Sorry to hear about the shitty neighbour situation but good to hear about the new accomodation. May your back yard be frequently visited by furry and feathered friends!

Thanks Stef! :) Are you guys managing to stay out of the way of the economic reality check?

Not as Spikey as one of them long Island ice Tea thingos from that club called cookies. Man i can barley remember that. When you try to pick em' up, they burrow into the ground. Don't try to do it drunk. After an ice tea. The whole picking up an echindna thingo that is.
